What is DDNS and how to set it up on a Camius Video Recorder?

Dynamic DNS (DDNS or DynDNS) is a method of automatically updating a name server in the Domain Name System (DNS), often in real time, with the active DDNS configuration of its configured hostnames, addresses or other information.
A user can set DDNS under network type of Static/DHCP/PPPoE after enabling dynamic domain server. A user can access the recorder remotely through a domain name (http://domain name: Web port No.)by using web-browser.
To access your hybrid video recorder, please make sure port and current IP address can be connected to the public network. Settings, server address, web hostname, username & password should be consistent with the recorder’s local settings.
Enable the DDNS service.
Select dynamic server name provider from the list: DDNS_3322, DYNDNS, NO_IP, CHANGEIP, DNSEXIT)
Enter the dynamic domain name of the hostname obtained from the dynamic domain name service provider upon registration, for e.g. yourname.no-ip.com
